Do you feel stuck in anxiety, self-doubt, or emotional patterns that seem bigger than the present moment? Often, early experiences and relational wounds shape how we cope long after the moment has passed. When big feelings start affecting our daily life and relationships, it can feel exhausting and isolating. Whether I’m working with a child, a teen, or a young adult, my goal is the same: to create a safe, supportive space where big feelings are welcomed. Together we work toward deeper healing, not just temporary relief. Using insight-oriented exploration with practical tools, I help clients navigate challenges with anxiety, depression, identity development, and trauma. Therapy with me focuses on understanding the “why” behind your patterns while building skills that create real, lasting change. If you’re ready to feel calmer, more confident, and more understood, schedule a consultation today. Let’s talk about what’s happening and what support could look like through meaningful growth.

Hi! I am excited that you have decided to reach out for help. My name is Dr. T. Navigating through life is already difficult and the pressure that comes with being a college student can make things harder. I too had to go through this stage in life. There are many things that have changed since I was a college student, however, there are many similarities between our experiences. Worrying about your grades, peer pressure, drugs and alcohol, issues at home with parents/caregivers, siblings and other family members, and your identity of simply trying to find out who you are is overwhelming. All these things can be scary, confusing, and even frustrating. The good news is that you don't have to go through the process alone. I can help and you can find comfort in knowing that what is said in my office, stays in office. As a professional I have had the opportunity to work in the military, daycare facilities, a community health center, a methadone clinic, parish jail, elementary and high school settings and private practice. My experience has prepared me to deal with a variety of issues and concerns while using an eclectic approach. I have gained an understanding that there is no cookie cutter way for every person. Everyone is unique even if they share similar experiences. Personally, I have dealt with family issues such as child abuse and neglect, psychological illnesses, drug and alcohol addictions, adoption, crimes consisting of theft and murder, and losing family members to the state's system. I have also had the experience of managing life while being the wife of an airman and a soldier in the US Army. These life experiences remind me that nobody asks for things to go wrong in their lives. It also helps me to remain humble because at any moment it could be me. Celebrate yourself in taking the first step to a new life that gains you the freedom you deserve. Keep in mind that although I am the professional you are the expert on your life. Together we will use your hope to effect change.
It takes courage to begin this process, and I’m honored to walk with you as you navigate whatever brought you here, at your own pace and in your own way. I specialize in working with clients experiencing stress, anxiety, grief, or life transitions, and are looking for a space where they don’t have to explain or translate who they are. They want to feel a genuine sense of belonging — not just in therapy, but in the world. These clients value connection, emotional safety, and authenticity. When the time feels right for you, I’ll be here and ready to support you. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), emphasizing practical strategies, emotional understanding, and meaningful progress. While these frameworks guide my work, I recognize that each person is unique—so I tailor every session to align with your individual needs, values, and goals. As a counselor, I’m deeply committed to creating a supportive and inclusive space where individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered. My passion for mental and emotional well-being drives me to walk alongside clients with empathy and respect, helping them navigate challenges, build resilience, and move toward a more fulfilling and balanced life. In our work together, I strive to create a space that feels safe, respectful, and collaborative. My communication style is warm, direct, and grounded in empathy. I take a person-centered approach, which means I listen without judgment and honor your experiences, values, and goals. At the same time, I draw from solution-focused techniques to help you identify strengths, gain clarity, and move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
At Wilson Counseling, we believe healing begins with connection. Our team provides a compassionate space where individuals, couples, and families can feel heard, understood, and supported. Feeling stuck, lost, or like you're balancing too much at once? College can be exciting, but it can also leave you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of who you are and where you're headed. Whether you're navigating relationships, family expectations, career/academic stress, life transitions, or the pressure of figuring out your future, you don't have to do it alone. As a first-generation individual, I'm especially passionate about supporting BIPOC students, first-generation immigrants, and children of immigrants through the unique challenges that can come with balancing different worlds. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to build a life that feels authentic to you.
I believe therapy is a space for growth and change that can lead to stronger relationships, healthier ways of functioning, and a deeper sense of well-being. In our work together, I’ll bring empathy, respect, and genuine care. My role is to support you in becoming more self-aware and confident, while helping you make the changes you want to see in your life. To me, therapy is a collaborative process. I’m not here to "fix" you, but to walk alongside you as a guide, a support, and sometimes just a steady presence while you navigate life’s challenges. I truly believe that everyone has the ability to grow and the responsibility to pursue that growth when they’re ready. I also believe our relationships with family, partners, friends, or chosen community play a huge role in our overall well-being. When those connections feel off or strained, it can affect so many other areas of life. Whether we're working one-on-one, with a couple, or with a family, I take a systemic approach to understand the bigger picture and help shift patterns that may be keeping you stuck. And I know that therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. We’ll work together to find what feels right for you. Most importantly, I’ll offer a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly heard. As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and Texas and a Licensed Addiction Counselor in Colorado I have made the commitment to help others as they face adversity so as to develop a loving and compassionate relationship with themselves. I bring a wealth of experience and specialized training in addictions and mental health to my practice and there is one common theme I have noticed throughout my career, which is our self-talk. We are our own worst enemies, and this wreaks havoc on our self-esteem. My therapeutic approach is person centered, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I tailor my counseling to each individual client and will use several interventions in practice. I am well versed in CBT, DBT, and MI. I also have a background utilizing Positive Psychology, SFBT, and Crisis Intervention. I invite you to a different therapeutic experience where I'll meet you where you are at. By providing a safe and supportive environment, my goal is to provide a holistic and person-centered therapeutic experience where you become empowered to build resilience, achieve personal growth, and become better equipped to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
Y’all. Adulting is hard. You might be finishing school, moving out, starting a career, or trying to make big life choices that feel like they’ll define your future. It’s a lot. Between the pressure to “have your sh** together” and constantly comparing yourself to others, it’s easy to feel lost, anxious, depressed, or stuck. Stepping into adulthood can be exciting–and overwhelming. No matter how much you’ve prepared yourself for this moment, change is tough and let’s be real–adulting is hard. Growing up doesn’t come with a roadmap ( I know, I wish it did too.), but that’s because everyone’s path can look different. Many young adults come to therapy for help with challenges like: -Anxiety or stress about school, work, the future, and feeling “behind” -Overthinking and self-doubt that won’t turn off -Difficulty making decisions or feeling stuck in “what’s next” -Identity exploration–figuring out values, goals, or sense of self -Relationship changes with friends, family, or partners -Depression from not feeling like you’re good enough -Burnout from trying to do it all -Life transitions, like moving out, finishing college or starting a new job These challenges are adult growing pains, like when your legs used to hurt before you grew a couple inches. But you know, emotionally. Maybe you also have some baggage from the past that can make navigating these challenges even more difficult (Thanks parents!).
Clients describe me as the homegirl who creates a safe space while offering empathy, compassion, and understanding. I will meet you where you are while pushing you to grow. As an integrative therapist, I tailor my approach to fit your unique needs and goals. I draw from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to support your personal growth and healing Together, we will delve into various themes. Our focus will be on cultivating coping strategies and improving communication while fostering self-actualization.
Dr. Aw's primary interest is the intersection between mental and physical health. Dr. Aw’s philosophy is that one does not exist outside the other. Furthermore, depression and anxiety in patients who are also suffering from medical issues can feel significantly worse, and it is his goal to get patients on a holistic road to recovery. An ideal patient for Dr. Aw understands that it takes a team to get them feeling better, and it is a collaboration between the patients themselves and Dr. Aw.

Starting therapy does not mean you are falling apart. Sometimes it just means you are ready to stop carrying everything alone. I work with college students and young adults who are trying to balance school, work, family, relationships, stress, anxiety, and everything else that comes with figuring life out. Some come to therapy feeling overwhelmed or burned out. Others are navigating trauma, self-doubt, relationship challenges, or patterns they are tired of repeating. I also enjoy working with BIPOC students, first-generation students, student veterans, service members, and military-connected students. Therapy with me is a space where you can be honest about what you are carrying, sort through what feels heavy, and feel like someone actually gets it. We can start wherever you are.
