I believe that everyone deserves the chance to flourish in life. Life throws us curveballs, often causing us to lose sight of who we are and what we need to feel worthy and successful. My main priority with clients is to create a safe space, free from judgment and criticism. I utilize a multitude of counseling theories in my work, but always practice from a client-centered foundation, in which I work to empower my clients to take an active role in their treatment. I believe there is value in collaboration, and I want to work together to navigate through the challenges that come up. Growing up as a competitive athlete, I experienced firsthand the impact that academic and athletic pressures can have on the body and mind. I played Division I soccer at the collegiate level, and therefore, have a speciality of working with athletes. I use my personal experiences with mental health to connect authentically with clients.

Hello! I am a psychologist who enjoys supporting college-age individuals in a variety of ways. In this season of life, academics and social activities can be common stressors, in addition to family and career issues. Students may be struggling with anxiety, depression, or other learning differences that affect them inside and outside the classroom. I enjoy brainstorming and helping young people access the resources they need, both on campus and in their community. I take a holistic approach to healthy living, and look closely at individual habits and behaviors. I also offer a faith-sensitive approach to individuals who would like to include spirituality or religion in their work. I meet with clients in person in our Chalfont and Chester Springs locations, as well as virtually in the 40+ states that participate in PsyPact (https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap).

Since you’re here, you probably have questions that you are looking to answer, need guidance and support around your struggles and concerns, desire a safe space for exploration and development, or maybe a combination of these. So, how can I help? I am equipped to conduct psychological assessment to promote improved self-understanding and to help build a plan for support across life. Psychological evaluation offers a clear snapshot of functioning characterized by individual patterns, strengths, and needs across a variety of areas. Or if you are looking to secure a supportive environment that facilitates self-discovery, understanding, processing, and growth, I am well-suited to support those needs as well. My therapeutic approach is evidence-based and focuses on the whole person. I also offer a faith-sensitive approach for those who wish to incorporate faith and spirituality into their individual process. Whether you come seeking an evaluation or therapeutic support, I look forward to connecting with you! *Please note: Fees vary depending on therapy vs assessment. I also work between two offices. For now, I am in Chester Springs on Wednesdays with the possibility of Fridays. I am in Chalfont Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays with the possibility of Fridays. Please visit https://thecenterinpa.com or call the front office, 215-491-1119, for more information.

I am a clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience, co-founder of The Center for Neuropsychology and Counseling, PC., a consultant to clinicians and other professionals, and a professional public speaker. In my work as a psychologist, I believe that a good match between the client and therapist is key to therapeutic success. My approach is very straight-forward and down-to-earth. I help individuals, couples and families build the skills needed to overcome emotional challenges, relationship difficulties, and to move through life changes, creating healthier lives. Consulting with and supervising fellow clinicians is a part of my practice that I truly enjoy. I also provide consultation to attorneys, educators and other healthcare providers. As a wellness consultant, I provide webcasts focused on employee and client wellness. My style is conversational, light-hearted and aims to provide practical guidance. Recent topics I have discussed with national and international corporations are coping and thriving during COVID, adjusting to the new work environment, streamlining your space, mind and work, grief and loss, anxiety and financial decisions, coping with the holidays, and stress management. Dr. Carson-Sacco has the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT). As of January 2025, she can see patients virtually in 40 plus states. Traditional talk therapy isn't always enough to resolve deeply rooted trauma. At The Willow Space, we utilize powerful, experiential modalities designed to process traumatic memories and foster lasting healing. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): A highly effective, structured therapy recognized for helping individuals process distressing memories and beliefs associated with trauma. Internal Family Systems (IFS) Informed EMDR: An integrative approach combining the strengths of EMDR with the compassionate, non-pathologizing framework of IFS to work with different parts of the self affected by trauma. Our therapists are committed to providing holistic, results-driven care tailored to your unique needs, creating the space necessary for profound healing.

I'm a trauma therapist offering online therapy to college students throughout Pennsylvania. My specialty is IFS-informed EMDR: EMDR helps your brain reprocess painful memories so they lose their grip on the present, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) brings compassion to the parts of you that learned to protect you in hard times. Together, they let us work through trauma at a pace that feels safe — without having to retell your story over and over. Many of the students I work with are carrying more than a heavy course load: childhood wounds, anxiety that won't switch off, depression, ADHD, or the pressure of holding it all together far from home. Therapy with me is a place where all of that can be looked at without judgment. I believe we can let go of our past and accept ourselves as we are — and that self-acceptance is the first step toward change. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, certified in EMDR (EMDRIA) and trained in IFS (IFS Institute) and DBT, with a master's in Counseling Psychology from Temple University and eight years of practice. Sessions are $185 with sliding-scale spots available, and I provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. I offer a free 20-minute consultation — reach out and let's see if we're a good fit.

I have specialized in working with college and university undergraduate and graduate students since my graduate training and I have worked in six different college and university counseling centers. I have innate knowledge about the experiences that are relevant to college and undergraduate students and it is my mission to provide support in helping navigate the journey during this integral time of development. I have experience supporting students through general academic stress and concerns as well as compounding stressors relevant to diversity, culture and identity. Finally, I understand the intersection that other factors have during the college and university experience (i.e., family, friend and romantic relationship building and conflict, social injustice, financial stress, career uncertainty, etc.)
