Our Mission At Seyler – Berkebile Marriage & Family Therapy we believe that through the context of a caring and supportive relationship, we can assist individuals, families and couples in the difficulties they are experiencing. This process can bring about change by empowering you to make responsible connections with yourself, others and the environment in order to safely and effectively fulfill your needs. We utilize the Solution Focused Brief Therapy Approach where we will encourage you to talk about your thoughts, feelings and behaviors in a safe environment which you may explore in the present moment. Goals will be established that are co-created by you and your therapist, and therapy will focus on helping you find solutions to reach those goals. Our success in the past has stemmed from our strong commitment and sense of professionalism. We keep high standards for our work. We devote ourselves to continuing our education to better assist our clients.
Seeking to discover strengths to meet new challenges or define your sense of purpose? Are you having relationship issues at home, school, or work? Or maybe you are asking questions about your life story, its meaning, and your place in the world. Psychotherapy can be helpful in exploring and resolving these concerns. Every person has a story to tell. I offer insight-oriented psychotherapy, an approach that focuses on your perspective and unique story. A person’s feelings, thoughts, and choices may be influenced by factors from the past that are outside of one’s awareness and exert pressure on current experiences and events. Each person’s culture, including military culture, can also be influential in therapy. Telling your story freely in a safe environment and bringing past experiences and meanings to light can have therapeutic or even transformative effects in the present. Devote the time now to strengthen your foundation and build a new vision for your future. My practice focuses on resilience, operational stress, high-intensity workplaces, and many other issues. Individuals from all walks of life and backgrounds, you may find therapy helpful for self-knowledge and awareness as you navigate a complex time in your life. The practice is Telehealth with access throughout FL, PA, and WV. Tricare has certified that I am an out-of-network provider for FL, PA, or WV telehealth services.
If you’re a high-achieving student who looks “fine” on the outside but feels overwhelmed, anxious, or exhausted on the inside, you’re not alone. The pressure to perform academically, have a thriving social life, and figure out your future (all at the same time!) can quietly take a toll on your mental health. As a licensed mental health counselor, I help driven college students build lifelong coping skills and find balance—without pushing themselves harder or burning out. Together we can work to identify what you would like to be different in your life, and make a clear plan to help you get there. By the way - I'm also a certified career counselor, so if landing internships or planning life beyond college is stressing you out, I can help you there too. If you’re looking for therapy that’s down-to-earth, compassionate, and focused on helping you actually enjoy your college experience instead of just pushing through, let's connect! I offer a free 30 minute consultation call to see if we're a good fit before we start working together.
I provide specialized therapy that is individually tailored to help you solve your problems and realize your potential. Clients regularly describe my approach as effective and enjoyable since it combines practical skills with a deeper understanding of the self. Clients also appreciate that I bring authenticity, determination, and humor into the healing journey. I have particular expertise and interest in working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, OCD, depression, perfectionism, self-expression, difficult life adjustments (college or otherwise), relationship issues, and addictions. To treat OCD, I specifically use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold standard in OCD treatment. If even a small part of you is curious to see how things can be different, I hope to get to connect with you soon.
Hello! My name is Halley and, as a therapist, it is my intention to look beyond the symptoms being presented to identify the root of the problem and to make space for you as a whole person, not just a diagnosis or a label. This often looks like examining our most intimate relationships, the family system, and what connections or patterns exist between the two. If you find yourself often wondering "Why am I like this?" and "Why does this keep happening?,” then we may be a good fit - especially if you have been in therapy before, feel like you have the tools or knowledge, and like you should be able to do something differently. It is my belief that our most intimate relationships impact us and how we move through the world. My hope is to help you look at those relationships, to better understand them, and to identify your role in creating your own experience. I often attempt to do this by asking questions, making observations, and inviting you to do the same. Therapy is messy. Therapy is not linear. Therapy is a process. I would be honored to be a part of yours and be alongside you as you learn about yourself while achieving the long-term healing and awareness that you deserve.
I work with individuals collaboratively to help them better understand their feelings, their thinking, and how to better manage them to ease stress and develop a calmer, more confident person. Work, school, and relationships often add unexpected challenges and my goal is to help people build a skillset to navigate the challenges that come with life. In addition to management of anxiety, depression, and other emotional needs I also specialize in helping individuals struggling with ADHD symptoms or improving their relationship with technology/gaming/internet use.

I spent 24 years studying and working in universities as a student (undergrad and grad), program coordinator (staff), assistant professor (faculty), and state specialist (extension). I worked hard to earn my degrees and make my mark in academia, but I was often looking for guidance and support from my peers about my career. Sometimes finding a listening ear who truly understood me, my strengths, and my goals was challenging. This sparked ideas for a career change, and back to school I went for 5 years part-time while working as a professor, being a spouse, raising two young kids, and still fitting-in some outside pursuits. I became a counselor, and I founded AutumnSpring Counseling, to help students, faculty, staff, and others connected to universities navigate through and cope with the challenges of academic study and work. I am dual certified in mental health (NCC) and career counseling (CCC), and I strive to help clients develop strategies for their present and their future career situations. Through counseling, assessment and evaluation tools, and career strategizing, I help clients process the challenges, decisions, and transitions related to their career and their personal wellness. My website offers a lot of good details about me and the clientele I help the best, so please visit www.autumnspring.co. Once you read there, if I interest you, please email or call me and let's set up a time for a free 25-minute consultation call.
Hello! My goal is for you to feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn, grow and overcome current obstacles to be your best self. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who enjoys working with college students. As an adjunct professor, I understand the academic stressors that college students face. I enjoy teaching skills that can be used to help regulate overwhelming emotions, communicate more effectively, and improve meaningful relationships.
Although we cannot change our past, we can acknowledge its impact. We can change how we view our past and ourselves. While working with clients, I encourage expression to gain self-awareness and to reshape narratives. Expression is essential in everyday life, especially when working through difficult times, such as grief and trauma. I practice therapy with a person-centered, trauma-informed, strength based approach to meet clients where they are and to help them make changes to start the healing process. For some clients, verbal expression can be difficult. Creative expression can demonstrate one’s thoughts and feelings in a tangible way. Art Therapy can be helpful in exploring one’s thoughts and feelings and fostering self-awareness. As an Art Therapist, I have the ability and knowledge to bring artmaking into the therapy session and to help facilitate the healing process. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Board-Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC). I have many years of experience helping people with trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, body image, self-esteem, and addiction. I have experience practicing therapeutic techniques of Trauma Informed Care, CBT, DBT, and MI, as well as Crisis Intervention. I am available for in person sessions, as well as telehealth/virtual sessions.
