Hi and welcome! My name is Rhonda Matlack and I have been a Licensed Counselor since 1998. Counseling historically has been something that society has been ashamed of hence many people have suffered needlessly due to lack of support. I'm here to tell you that seeking support and moving toward emotional wellness is deserving of every individual from any walk of life. It is my philosophy that those who reach out for heIp, those that take the risk to be better, those that face their fears will have a sustainable life pattern of coping that leads to wellness. We are all made unique, each one of us is made to serve and benefit in this life with a purpose. Last, I believe healthcare should be made affordable to all, therefore I have a very low sliding scale to offer folks. Get in touch to learn more.
Guessing your way through life is stressful. I work with college students who are realizing that there's a lot of things that they weren't taught in school and are ready to take control of their future. Now that you have more freedom and choice, you also have to figure out what to do with it. Who are you? Who do you want to be? What do you want to do with your life? How do you get there? If you're starting out college, you might be trying to get yourself into a routine, make new friends, navigate the campus dating scene, decide on a major, or handle the stress of midterms/finals. Maybe you're past that part of your college experience, but you still haven't found a good solution to those problems: still putting off studying, dealing with friend drama, having ups and downs with dating, etc. And if you're getting towards the end of your college experience, you might be worried out about what you're going to do after college and what that will look like. You don't need to figure all that out on your own. I help people get to the root of their problems so that they can understand themselves and others better. If you can understand your past and unlearn things that aren't helping you anymore, then you can replace them with healthy ways to move forward with confidence.
Relationships are both the most difficult and the most rewarding things about being human, and they are HARD! I believe very strongly in the power of relationships to heal as well as hurt. I help people look at the relationships in their lives and figure out how to move forward in a new way. I work with all types of relationships. My particular areas of interest include defiant teenagers, self-harm, couples therapy, mindfulness, and trauma work. When the most important relationships in our lives are strong, I believe that we can handle whatever problems life throws at us.

Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma, particularly experiences related to family of origin and attachment. While I work with adults of all ages, I have a special interest in supporting emerging adults - including college, graduate, and medical students - as they manage the emotional and relational challenges that can arise during these stages of life. I support clients in addressing current life challenges while also seeking to answer questions about why these challenges exist in the first place. I do this through a collaborative, relational, and trauma-informed approach that blends deeper insight with practical support. Drawing from psychodynamic and attachment-based work, along with CBT, DBT, and mindfulness, I help clients understand patterns, regulate emotions, and build skills that support meaningful, lasting change. Starting therapy can feel uncertain, and it’s completely normal to have questions or mixed emotions. Please know you don’t have to figure it out on your own. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and understood. If you’re considering therapy, I invite you to reach out to see if we would be a good fit.

Life often feels stressful and overwhelming and can knock us off our feet before we know it. When this happens, strong emotions can overtake us and it can feel as if there is nowhere to turn. When nothing seems to be working, having someone to express your feelings to, who listens and hears you, can feel like a breath of fresh air. I am here to validate your feelings and to allow you to make space to get the support you are looking for. I offer in person sessions in a comfortable and inviting office space. In addition, I am able to offer virtual sessions, if you would prefer this method of meeting. I meet clients where they are at currently. I look forward to chatting with you more to find out what you are looking for in a clinician and how we can best work together to get you to a place that feels right for you!
Talking about your feelings can be incredibly hard to do, especially in a fast-paced life where emotions feel like they can get in the way. I work hard to build a warm, emotionally-safe space in therapy in which you can share and explore your thoughts and feelings at a pace that challenges you, but doesn’t feel overwhelming. Utilizing cognitive behavioral, family therapy, and mindfulness interventions, I help patients to increase awareness and improve their relationship with their emotions. Whether you’re just curious or feeling ready to work on your emotional wellbeing, I’m glad that you found me. I’m always excited to support someone in taking better care of themselves!

My name is Katie, and I have experience working with young adults, adults, and couples. I enjoy supporting clients navigating anxiety, anger management, and impulse control, as well as life transitions, relationship stressors, and LGBTQ+ related challenges. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and shaped by a relational lens- meaning I prioritize genuine connection, collaboration, and an understanding of how relationships impact mental health. Hi, I’m Kiara, I’m the therapist behind Lunar Counseling! I work with teens and adults who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, and trauma. Too many people are stuck in a cycle of distress without truly resolving anything. This leaves many feeling detached, numb, and uncertain about their future. I believe most mental health challenges can be addressed through effective therapy and by developing healthy coping skills. BUT, that can be so hard to do on your own. I have found for many individuals, having a therapist to talk through issues can be a gamechanger for their mental health. So, I use my seven years of therapy experience to guide people just like you as you work through your mental health challenges and regain control of your life. To get started, your next step is to schedule a 15-min phone consultation to see if we are a good fit. You don’t have to let things get worse or stay feeling numb and overwhelmed. I can help guide you as you overcome your challenges and get back to feeling like yourself again.
