Hi, my name is Lee! I’m a queer, transgender white male mental health intern who provides individual, person-centered therapy to clients who may feel lost or disconnected from themself or others. Are you questioning what you want your life to look like? Maybe you're starting a journey to explore your gender or sexuality. Or maybe, you're just feeling down in life and are reaching out for help. If this sounds like you, then I may be a good fit as your therapist! I have personal and extensive professional experience with LGBTQ+ mental health, helping clients through their journey. I specialize in helping those who are dealing with depression, anxiety, and/or ADHD within the intersectionality of their life. I also have experience helping those who are diagnosed later in life with ADHD. If any of this sounds familiar, do not hesitate to reach out! The space I provide is judgment free and open to anyone. I offer free 15-minute phone consultations and try to make my practice as accessible to everyone as possible. If you believe you have a barrier that may keep you from getting help, we can discuss that! I hope to hear from you.
As a young adult, holding your own emotional space—especially with family—is a powerful way to support your mental health. Your 20s and 30s are a time where you might find yourself getting into a serious relationship, welcoming a child into the world, or coping with the death of a loved one. These transitions often come with shifting family roles and expectations, which can make it difficult to maintain healthy boundaries with the people closest to you. That’s where I come in. As a therapist, I can help you to clarify, set, and navigate boundaries that support your personal growth, values, and the connections you have with others as well as navigate and identify strategies to cope with anxiety that comes up naturally during any transitional period in life. During our time together, we’ll identify the boundaries most important to you. We’ll also process feelings like guilt or shame that might come up around setting them and create strategies for communicating your needs effectively. My holistic, collaborative approach puts you in the driver's seat of your own treatment. Mental health isn’t a one-size-fits-all, so I provide personalized care that centers your unique needs and sense of agency. Going to therapy is vulnerable and brave, and I’m here to support you with whatever comes up in our space together.

So many students can feel overwhelmed… by choices, by things that need to be done, by relationships at home and at school, by worries about your own life and the broader world, by figuring out who you are… who you want to be… where you fit in… where you want to go. I want to help you grow to cope more easily with all that’s on your plate. I also specialize in supporting caregivers of all kinds. Do you have aging parents, a loved one with dementia or chronic illness, or children (perhaps with special needs) who need your care? Are you a health care worker, teacher, or volunteer? I want to help you balance caring for others with valuing and taking better care of yourself. When we work together, you are in charge; you drive the boat. I view my role as coach, pit crew, investigator, occasional guest lecturer, comic relief, gentle nudge, and trusted companion on your path. My work is all about your strengths and your vision–finding them, sorting between them, nurturing them to take you in directions you want to go. Our work is also about play: finding the courage and confidence to dream, to try, to try again, to try a different route. You can do both, staying present to enjoy as much as possible of your now while moving towards a future that makes your heart sing. All identities warmly welcome.
I specialize in working with people who are experiencing life transitions, such as marriage, divorce, parenting, career, loss of a loved one, aging, and existential anxiety. Transitions can be stressful because it means you need to make changes in how you are living your life. I work with people who are at a crossroads of important decisions or who are having difficulties navigating and adjusting to a change in life circumstances. Going in a direction you have not gone before can bring up feelings of fear, doubt, and uncertainty. If you are trying to figure out what you want from your life, I will provide a safe and nonjudgmental place where we can explore your emotions, challenges, choices and possible consequences, and best approaches to move forward. Going through the process of taking stock of your life can often lead you to a new beginning which opens up new possibilities. With every life transition, we need to let go of a past way of thinking or being and replace it with something new. Together we can create a path towards change and healing.
