I am a licensed therapist with a twenty-four year experience working with adult individuals with a vast of life challenges to assist them in developing adaptive coping mechanisms and strategies to deal with their individual challenges. I am compassionate and truly enjoy what I do. I will be honored to form a working alliance with you and be able to allow you to be who you are in a nonjudgmental manner that fosters a sense of quality of life and overall well-being. My style or approach to therapy is what I call a “pot” as I borrow from various evidenced-based models, theories and interventions to create a unique working plan for everyone I work with. I do, however, draw heavily from the Strength Perspective, Client Center, Motivational Interviewing, Psycho- dynamic, Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavior Therapy to name a few. I expect my clients to take away from sessions with me is an enhanced knowledge of their strengths and meaningful ways to address their challenges. We will work together always respecting their autonomy and uniqueness as a person. In addition, I expect my clients to highlight their sense of self-worth, self-value, self-respect as a pathway to improve better outcomes from therapy.
We get so many messages in our lives about what is expected and how we "should" be living; social media, friends, and culture can all provide an idea of what we should be reaching for, which can often feel confusing and frustrating. If we grow up with dysfunction and trauma, it can seem even more confusing. We struggle with these expectations and somehow still feel we are coming up short. It can become an exhausting pursuit! It gets harder and harder to listen to our own voice, and what our needs are. I am drawn to helping people who have dealt with trauma and feel persistent isolation and sadness in their daily lives. Together, we can try to look at things a different way, and navigate a different path. Let's explore together, like astronauts! By gaining perspective, we can find opportunities for strength and agency in our everyday lives. By connecting to new support, we can make our own space to think about things we didn't know were possible. My goal is to create a safe space for exploration and support you on this path. Making the first step can be intimidating, but we can also go to new places. Contact me to setup a free consultation call to figure out how we can move forward together.
College is supposed to be one of the best times of your life, so why does it sometimes feel like the hardest? Maybe you're juggling more than you ever have before - classes, deadlines, relationships, and the pressure to perform academically while somehow also figuring out who you are and where you belong. Maybe the adjustment to college life has been harder than you expected - the homesickness, the new environment, the feeling that everyone else seems to be thriving while you're just trying to keep your head above water. Maybe anxiety has become your constant companion, or stress has made it hard to enjoy the things you used to love. Maybe you're asking bigger questions too - who am I, really? What do I actually want? Where am I headed? - and the pressure to have it all figured out feels overwhelming. Or maybe nothing dramatic has happened, and that almost makes it harder to explain. You just know something feels off, and you're not quite sure where to turn. Here's what I want you to know: you don't have to have it all together to reach out. You don't need a crisis to deserve support. College is one of the most profound transitions of your life - a time of incredible growth, but also real uncertainty, loneliness, and pressure that often goes unseen. I offer warm, collaborative, judgment-free therapy for college students navigating exactly this. Together we can work through anxiety and stress, explore who you are and who you want to become, and help you find your footing - so you can actually show up for your life, not just get through it. You deserve a space that's entirely yours - and finding the right therapist should feel like a good fit, not another stressor. That's why I offer a free 15-minute consultation - no pressure, no commitment - just a chance to chat, ask questions, and see if this feels right for you. Think of it as a low-stakes first step toward feeling more like yourself again. I'd be honored to be that space. Please reach out anytime. I'm here whenever you're ready.
I love working with students who care about their relationships and want to feel more connected—to partners, friends, or themselves. Many of the people I see are creative, thoughtful, and maybe a little unsure of where they’re headed next. Whether you’re dealing with relationship stress, an existential “what am I doing with my life?” moment, or just trying to communicate better, therapy can be a space to slow down and figure things out together.

I assist couples to identify communication and intimacy issues that prevent them from connecting both physically and emotionally. There is no size fits all. Thus, I seek to collaborate with my clients to co-create a therapeutic experience that creates the trust necessary to do deeper work.

Kelly Solis is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York. She has more than 10 years of experience working in the social service and behavioral health field. Throughout her career, Kelly has worked with various populations in a number of different settings. Currently, Kelly provides individual psychotherapy to adults who are struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety and panic, grief, or stress. Many of Kelly's clients experience feelings of sadness and low mood, sleep difficulties, low energy, trouble with concentration; as well as, feelings of anxiousness and worry, difficulty relaxing, and feelings of restlessness. She also provides support to those experiencing difficulty coping with life transitions, loss, relationship issues/conflict, work stress, and trauma. Kelly’s approach to therapy is client centered and strengths based. Kelly helps clients identify how certain patterns of behavior or unresolved traumas can impact their functioning in the present. Using CBT concepts, she educates clients on how one's thoughts can influence their feelings and behaviors. For those experiencing stress, Kelly works with her client to identify what is contributing to their distress and explore ways to improve coping, so that those stressors become more manageable. Kelly takes pride in meeting clients where they are and fosters a space where clients feel heard, safe, and where judgement does not exist. During the intake, Kelly will utilize that visit to gather information to understand the client's history and set goals together. She may assign homework which can help clients become more insightful as they move through the therapeutic process. Clients often leave sessions feeling relieved, understood, and overtime notice a reduction in symptoms. Whether it's your first time pursuing therapy or you're familiar with the process, it's important to choose someone who is a good fit and that meets your needs. Everyone deserves to have a space where they can be their authentic selves, express their feelings, receive unbiased feedback, and where they feel supported. I understand personally how challenging it can be dealing with stress, depression, anxiety and other life issues, which helps me relate with clients on a deeper level. There's a life saying that I love which is "Grow through what you go through." You built a life and career by being the reliable one. The strong and independent one. The high-performer. Now you wake up tired, restless, and questioning who you are beneath the grind. I work with BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and Adult Children of Immigrants navigating burnout, complex trauma, perfectionism, anxious stress, and identity conflict who feel lost in this stage of life and want to reconnect with themselves. I integrate somatic work, IFS, CBT, and liberation based therapy to build awareness, emotional inner balance, and boundaries that reflect your values. As a 1st generation Haitian and Black therapist I know reaching out can feel loaded when you are used to handling everything alone. You do not have to justify needing support.
