Therapists for college students near Harvard University
I believe that therapy is a journey that takes place in a safe and collaborative space between therapist and client. Within that space, I use a warm, supportive, curious and empathic approach to guide our work as we look at current and past stressors that may be causing you to feel "stuck" in various aspects of your life. Together, we can work to identify your inner strengths and resources that will aid you in managing current stressors, work through past events, and move towards health and healing. Specializations include: PTSD/Complex PTSD, Anxiety/Stress, Dissociation, Attachment, Sexual Assault/Abuse, and relationship/adjustment challenges. I use an eclectic therapeutic approach that is geared towards meeting my clients' individual needs and is aimed at promoting growth, clarity, and overall well being. I have had training in the most advanced treatment of anxiety, stress and trauma including EMDR, Sensorimotor/body-based therapies, and attachment-based psychotherapies. I remain up-to-date with the most effective therapies to aid my clients in developing tools and skills to meet the challenges of everyday life. I understand that finding the right therapeutic fit is a process and appreciate the strength and courage it takes to reach out for support. I look forward to the opportunity to consult with you about your needs.
Balance in life can only be achieved when we start taking care of both our mental and physical health. I take an integrative approach to address clients' cognitive, emotional and physical needs. Whether that is challenging your anxious/ negative thoughts, changing disruptive relationship patterns, avoiding work burnout or taking steps towards better nutrition and physical routines, we will address the whole you each session. I have worked in the therapy field for ten years and have experience treating a variety of conditions including; anxiety, depression, life- transitions and trauma responses. I often see the medical field project a false advertisement that we can all be “fixed”. This can create a cycle of shame and discouragement when we try over and over again to find quick solutions for ourselves. I strive to challenge those inner critics and push my clients towards finding their true selves; living with self compassion and confidence. Please send an email to coordinate an initial free exploratory call. I will assess if myself or another clinician at Balanced Therapy Approach is a good fit for your current needs.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process rooted in trust, safety, and respect. I tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, drawing from multiple therapeutic frameworks, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My Training: I received my B.S. from Cornell University in Human Development in 2015 and my Masters in Social Work from Boston College in 2020. My previous clinical experience includes acute psychiatric residential treatment at McLean-Franciscan's Community-Based Acute Treatment (CBAT), school social work at Brookline and Boston Public Schools, and outpatient therapy under a group practice. Who I am: I’m silly, serious, inquisitive, and loyal. I come from a very big family and am a first-generation college student. These parts of my identity shape how I show up in the therapy room - grounded, curious, and deeply committed to connection. Outside of my work, I love to cook, spend time with my loved ones, and move my body in nature. Whether it’s swimming, running, hiking, biking, or skiing, being outdoors helps me feel present and energized.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism and OCD. Whether we are navigating a new diagnosis, exploring medication options or working to better understand your thoughts and behavioral patterns, we will work together to find an approach that works for you. Education is the backbone of my practice so you feel informed and empowered to make the best decision for you or your child. My goal is to provide you with tools to build insight and coping skills to better support yourself in your mental health journey.
I am offering in person and virtual therapy sessions and have a variety of time/days open. I am an interactive, insight-oriented and solution-focused therapist. My strengths are working with those who have anxiety. With compassion and understanding, I will help you build on your strengths, and learn strategies to calm your anxiety and learn effective coping skills. The young adults I work with are able to safely explore difficult emotions, process current life events, and explore future goals, and what might be getting in the way of achieving these goals.
For many of us, perhaps adolescents and young adults in particular, the process of figuring "it" out is an elusive to-do swashing in the waves of life's stressors. I have worked with adolescents and young adults for over a decade; sharing in their challenges, connecting in laughter and in story. My hope is to help you, your child, or your loved one, navigate life’s waves with dignity. Feel free to contact me for a chat, we can go from there.

By applying a variety of therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I invite couples, adolescents and adults to identify strengths, acknowledge challenges and develop strategies to solve a range of problems. We can explore ways to save and enhance your relationship. In the first session, I teach tools that you can use immediately to enhance your partnership, open the lines of communication and reconnect as a couple. If you are an overwhelmed parent, I can help you reach out to your teen by employing techniques that can be used in the moment. My professional experience encompasses coping with anxiety, managing chronic illness, grieving losses and achieving balance for an enriched life. My therapeutic approach is client-centered, reality-based and solution- focused. I also provide psychodynamic insight-oriented therapy if a more in depth exploration of issues is requested. My experience and training include relationship issues, crises related to life transitions, developmental stages, adolescent concerns, couples issues, PTSD, chronic illness, and loss. I am in a small group practice at Solutions for Living. We work within a relationship based model that emphasizes strengths, supports self care planning, encourages mindfulness and incorporates stress reduction. We also remain well informed with regard to evidence based techniques, proven theories and research.
I specialize in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic therapy; these approaches are particularly suited for such issues as coping with losses, reducing self-criticism, increasing relationship fulfillment and bolstering creativity. Often, I work with people whose prior therapy experience(s) was symptom-oriented or brief but who found themselves wondering if there is something more. I also often work with people in academia, such as graduate students and post-docs. I am particularly passionate about graduate student mental health and am aware of the unique stressors often faced by doctoral students, as well as the factors that make it more challenging to reach out for support. I am aware of the ways that concerns pertaining to identity, belonging and family of origin often begin to come to the fore when one finds themselves in a new environment and/or a new academic/professional endeavor.
Wherever you may be at in your journey, I look forward to joining you on your path towards greater mental and emotional well-being. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings, and prioritize understanding things from your viewpoint. My main goal is to empower you as we collaborate to examine the impact of your experiences and stressors from new perspectives, to help you heal, and grow. I work with adults to address issues related to chronic pain, substance use, relationship difficulties, anxiety, and depression. I tailor my therapeutic interventions to meet your specific needs, taking a holistic approach to promote self-awareness, as you acquire new skills and refine coping strategies. Each session is an opportunity to gain clarity and acceptance, as you continue to learn how to be with yourself in the present moment. I welcome getting to know you and your story, recognizing the courage it takes to choose what may be more difficult in the near term, and more helpful in the long run.
