I offer expertise in long-term individual therapy, meeting with most of my patients weekly or more. I enjoy working with difficult issues including depression, anxiety, and trauma. These issues often have many manifestations like panic, procrastination and avoidance, low energy, low confidence, eating and sleep disturbances to name only a few. I work hard to offer a space where we can listen very carefully to what is contributing to these problems. My belief is that our problems point to something more than disorder and dysfunction; they point to something that is profoundly unique in each of us. I look forward to hearing from you to talk about how I can help.

For people of all ages, difficulties in life may result from a lost connection with one’s internal experience. Psychotherapy offers the opportunity to attend closely to one’s thoughts and feelings in a safe, supportive environment. In child therapy, play is the primary mode of communication. Through play, children explore their internal world, rehearse for life, process past events, practice creativity, and learn to moderate themselves. As children begin to feel understood and understand themselves, their internal experience can become their guide to being in the world. In talk therapy with adolescents and adults, I offer a collaborative, exploratory space where together we will work to understand your personal experience and the roots of your distress. This process can lead to a deeper connection with oneself and to others. I have advanced training in psychodynamic psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and adults. I work with individuals struggling with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity issues, attentional problems, trauma, and relationship difficulties.

My approach is centered on meeting clients where they are, offering a safe and judgment-free environment where they can openly explore their thoughts and emotions. WIth over 25 years of experience as a Clinical Social Worker, I have enjoyed working with young adults as they navigate many of life’s transitions. Listening to the stories of many students as they begin college or new chapters, I am aware of the “noise” that often contributes to self doubt and confusion. I specialize in navigating these challenges that often come with life transitions: the excitement as well as the uncertainty, anxiety, sadness and fears. I love to partner with college students to help reframe some of the thinking that leads to feeling stuck and feeling anxious. I support clients to trust and grow their inner resources and resilience while navigating the challenges as they face and transition to new life phases. Through a blend of empathy, active listening and evidence based techniques, I work to create a supportive space where clients can feel heard and they can safely explore their identities and feelings, manage stressors and develop coping strategies to thrive in a world that often feels unsettled.
I offer neuropsychological evaluations for college students. The purpose of these evaluations is to clarify the nature of students' struggles with attention, organization, or learning. Testing can be conducted in English and/or French.
Suffering is a part of being human—whether it's grief, trauma, stress, or the quiet ache of loneliness. While we can’t always avoid pain, we can choose not to face it alone. I believe in creating a safe, affirming space where you feel seen, heard, and supported as we work through life’s challenges together. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College, where I completed the Child & Family Mental Health and Wellness Concentration. As someone who was raised in a different culture and now practices in the U.S. as an international therapist, I bring a culturally sensitive lens to therapy that values and integrates diverse worldviews. I’ve worked with individuals across the lifespan—from age 5 to 80—and my areas of focus include ADHD, mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, PTSD, and addiction. I’m here to walk beside you—at your pace, on your terms.
As humans, we inherently seek meaningful connection and understanding. When our emotions, experiences, and struggles go unseen or unheard, we may feel distressed, isolated, and even question our sense of self. In my practice, I take an integrative, client-centered, trauma-informed, and evidence-based approach to therapy—one that honors the complexities of your lived experiences while affirming your individuality. Rooted in the principles of social justice, embodied social justice, anti-oppression, and queer affirmation, my work ensures that therapy is not just a space for healing but also one for empowerment. I believe that understanding ‘what’ has shaped your experiences offers insight into ‘why’ you might think, feel, and behave the way you do. This awareness allows us to collaboratively explore ‘how’ we can help you achieve your goals and foster meaningful growth – holistically. Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment." I am committed to providing a space where you feel truly seen, understood, and comfortable—one where you can explore, embrace, and reconnect with your most authentic self.
I work with young adults and adults who are struggling with a range of mental health concerns. I specialize in supporting individuals with eating disorders, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns. I take an integrative approach, tailoring evidence-based interventions to meet the client’s individual needs and drawing from my experience as both a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and licensed art therapist (ATR). I aim to help my clients achieve meaningful change with an eclectic combination including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), radically-open DBT, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and enhanced CBT, motivational interviewing, and art therapy, among others. Within this integrative framework, I hold a person-centered and trauma-informed lens and offer compassion, humor and directness to my clients. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is an essential foundation for growth and change, and I strive to create a space that is collaborative, warm, and accepting.
**Daytime availability only.** I provide psychotherapy to individuals with a variety of concerns including anxiety, loneliness, relationship struggles, and transitions. My approach is to balance warmth and humor with feedback and direction. Young adults are an age with whom I have significant experience and enjoy working. Regardless of what brings you here, my goal is for you to feel understood and accepted as you are today, while hopeful about the changes you seek. My clinical orientation is strength based and relationship centered, incorporating psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral techniques. Racial and ethnic identity development is a key element of my training as well, and I use a multicultural lens with all clients. Please contact me to discuss your needs and to determine whether we might be a good fit.
