I am a pre-licensed therapist working toward licensure. I've spent over 500 hours with clients in my graduate program and am currently growing my own caseload at Maitri Counseling Collective. My work is anchored in compassion and curiosity and my goal is to support my clients as they get to know themselves better. I am experienced in working with family dynamics, ADHD, anxiety, depression, body image, and faith deconstruction.

I value being part of the Social Work field and have worked with a wide range of ages and diagnoses through home-based and telehealth therapy services, outpatient substance use treatment, and outpatient groups for Veterans. I most often work with individuals hoping to navigate symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to help others through a variety of approaches while navigating life changes, stressors, mental health symptoms, and improving family dynamics. As a psychiatrist, I primarily provide medication management. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, self harm, trauma and related disoeders, stress management, other anxiety disorders and psychotic disorders. Dr. Ward is a licensed clinical psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and adults. She completed her APA-approved internship in July 2014 at the Youth Opportunity Center in Muncie, Indiana. Dr. Ward graduated from the University of Indianapolis in August 2014 with her Doctoral degree in clinical psychology. Dr. Ward has worked in community mental health, residential, and private practice facilities. Dr. Ward conducts comprehensive psychological assessments and has worked with school systems, Juvenile Probation, and the Department of Child Services in order to coordinate care and treatment for children, adolescents and their families. Dr. Ward utilizes evidence-based treatment approaches including cognitive-behavioral theory (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral (TF-CBT) and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT). Dr. Ward has completed intensive training with Thomas Lynch, PhD, the developer of RO-DBT. RO-DBT targets over-controlled behavior. Excessive self-control is associated with social isolation and difficulties with interpersonal relationships and contributes to persistent anxiety (i.e., social anxiety and obsessive-compulsive behaviors), persistent depression, avoidant personality, anorexia, and high functioning autism. The goal of treatment is to improve social signaling by increasing receptiveness openness to new experiences, increasing flexibility and adaptiveness to new environments, and building close and intimate relationships. Currently, Dr. Ward provides individual RO-DBT therapy for adolescents and adults, and co-leads adolescent and adult skills classes
