I enjoy helping others reach their goals using a personable, down-to-earth, and collaborative approach. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing clients succeed in reaching or exceeding their goals. My specialties include stress, anxiety, relationships, motivation, focus, and confidence/assertiveness. Holistic in scope, my approach takes into consideration the many facets of you as an individual, including one's physical health, interpersonal relationships, and spirituality (if desired). Having taught mindfulness now for over 20 years, I enjoy incorporating these skills, helping my clients to be more present and relaxed daily. I work collaboratively with clients helping them to skillfully move toward the change they are seeking and ultimately gain more personal freedom and resiliency in the face of life’s varied challenges. In addition to being a therapist, I am a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional. This helps me to educate my clients on how diet, exercise, and lifestyle affect mental health. CFGAW is a group private practice offering mental health counseling to adults and children. We specialize in treating trauma.
Educated and trained at Rutgers, Harvard, Savannah State, and the University of Pennsylvania, Michael Mack started his career over 25 years ago at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic, where he focused in Structural Family Therapy (SFT) developed by Salvador Minuchin, a pioneer in child and adolescent therapy. In addition, he has been trained by the Beck Institute and Linehan Institute/Behavioral Tech in evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Through the use of solution-focused techniques, insight-oriented therapies, and motivational interviewing, clients develop the coping skills to shift beliefs, change behaviors, and overcome negative past events. Clients learn new ways to improve their social interactions and personal development to reduce the impact of anxiety, depression, and other issues. Ultimately, it is about getting better and feeling better. It is about taking control of your life, or helping a loved one overcome the pain and suffering of a mental illness. If you have gotten this far, you're halfway there. As Dumbledore stated, “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”
Hi, I'm Aliyah! I work with clients who are depressed or anxious, having issues with family, or simply just need a space to vent and figure out things as we go. Many of my clients have ADHD, Autism, OCD, Anxiety, or Depression. I am direct and solution-focused, so we'll get to the root of your unhelpful habits/patterns and figure out a game plan on how to move forward. I also do offer a sliding scale (therapy for cheaper rates) as college is already expensive enough! If you're ready to stop feeling like you're just getting through your day, reach out today. Evening & Saturday options available.
The typical challenges people face are embedded in fear of rejection, loneliness and disconnection - not feeling likable and lovable. Meaningful living can be achieved by acknowledging this fear and acting intentionally to create love, authenticity, and congruence. I believe effective counseling is grounded in a trusting and affirming working alliance. I work from an interpersonal perspective, meaning our professional relationship is the key to a positive and productive experience. Grounding my training in Existential-Humanistic theory, I seek to support your effort to find personal meaning and self-understanding, to explore your lived experience and discover the most genuine you. I offer support to achieve insight and the tools to cultivate purposeful transformation, enabling you to live a meaningful life in the face of uncertainty and potential suffering. We all take turns with suffering; we all take turns with joy. You can feel accomplished and connected; I can help.
I am a social worker psychotherapist with extensive experience in mental health. I have been working with individuals and families for 40 years and enjoy working with college students. My focus is on developing healthy habits and self enlightenment. I am not afraid of discussing painful or difficult issues and can handle hard emotions. I use cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR for trauma if necessary. I encourage time in the natural world, teach mindfulness and use humor as much as possible.
My name is Amanda Schneider and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Georgia. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences and then obtained my Master’s degree in Social Work from Valdosta State University. I am currently under supervision, supervised by Adina Tucker LCSW, while I work to obtain my LCSW. Life transitions can be challenging whether you’re adjusting to a new phase, managing anxiety, moving through grief, facing relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck. I work with adults and teenagers (13+) who are navigating these complexities, offering a grounded space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. Therapy is unique to each person and together, we will explore what works best for you. In a safe space, we will explore your strengths, goals, and experiences in order to find healing and growth. My approach is collaborative, down-to-earth, and centered on helping you reconnect with yourself. Together, we’ll focus on building self-esteem, practicing self-compassion, and recognizing your own strengths especially in moments when those things feel hard to access. With a background in hospice care, I have experience working with individuals and families navigating chronic illness, death, and the grief that comes with those experiences. I’ve also worked with older adults navigating anxiety, depression, isolation, and aging related issues. These experiences shaped the way I show up as a therapist and I strive to offer a space where you feel safe to be yourself and talk through your true thoughts and feelings. Starting therapy isn’t always easy, and it’s okay to feel unsure about where to begin. I’m here to walk alongside you as you move toward healing, reconnect with a sense of purpose, and build skills that support you long after our work together.
My goal as a therapist is to support you during difficult life transitions. These transitions may include starting college, searching for jobs, adjusting to roommates, and exploring gender and sexuality for yourself. Transitions and changes may evoke a sense of grief and loss, regardless if it's positive, negative, or neutral. As a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist, I can help you with the difficult emotions that are associated with these changes. Our sessions would focus on finding the root of your symptoms, processing your grief, and starting your healing journey. Although my specialty is grief and loss, I address a wide variety of concerns, including emotional regulation, managing anxiety and depression, healing from childhood trauma, and increasing resilience. Often, our symptoms can be traced back to the losses and trauma experienced in our lives. I often utilize Accelerated Resolution Therapy to treat these symptoms as well. So many obstacles can hinder a person from experiencing a vibrant, peaceful, and satisfying life. My goal is to provide a safe and compassionate space to process your experiences, cope with distressing emotions, and promote healing in whatever way feels best for you. I’m drawn to working with young adults, women, and individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, recent or past trauma, PTSD, and relationship issues. I approach clients by considering the strengths, values, goals, and experiences of each unique individual. I value a collaborative relationship towards self-exploration, insight, and building skills like mindfulness and self-compassion. My approach involves integrating elements from various therapeutic modalities to suit each client’s goals. It’s not always easy or comfortable to ask for help. My intention is to create a genuine and empowering therapeutic alliance grounded in curiosity, respect, and compassion. I believe that every person is the expert of their own life and provided the appropriate support can achieve the growth and healing they desire for themselves.

Congratulation on taking the first step in seeking positive changes in your life. Whether you are dealing with past hurt that is causing you pain, or your present life feels unmanageable, a young adult having difficulty finding your way, teen struggling to connect, there is hope. As a therapist my primary goal is to create a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space in which you can openly share, explore and achieve a greater self-awareness. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who specialize in working with and teens (12-19), young adults (20 -30s), adults and families that are looking to overcome anxieties, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship and family issues. In practice I utilize evidence-based interventions based in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and family system approaches. In my work with adolescents and young adults I enjoy guiding as they learn to identify and express new emotions in a health way. I have a passion for helping them process strong emotions and overwhelming pressures they often encounter as they journey to adulthood. It is my desire to help identify strengths, re-frame perception and modify behaviors to facilitate long term changes.
Hi! I’m currently accepting new clients and referrals for teens and adults (13+) who are dealing with anxiety, trauma, depression, low self-esteem, life stress… or just that constant feeling of “wow, this is a lot.” If you’ve ever asked yourself, “why am I like this?” while overthinking a text for 45 minutes, replaying conversations like a highlight reel, or ending up in the same situation with different people—yeah, you’re in the right place. And if childhood experiences are still popping up in your adult life like an uninvited guest who refuses to leave… that’s more common than you think. Therapy with me is a real, no-judgment space where we can unpack what’s going on, connect the dots, and actually start shifting patterns—not just analyzing them at 2 a.m. There’s room for honesty, growth, and some humor along the way (because sometimes your brain really does wake up and choose chaos for no reason). My style is laid-back, supportive, and direct. I take a person-centered approach, so we go at your pace—whether you’re thriving, surviving, or somewhere in between. Whether it’s overthinking, relationship stress, family dynamics, or trying to figure out who you are and what you want (no small task), we’ll work together to help you feel more grounded, confident, and in control. No pressure. No perfection. Just a space where you can show up as you are. Insurance & Payment Options • Self-pay • Blue Cross Blue Shield • Aetna • United Healthcare / Optum

I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach to therapy. You're not alone—and you don’t have to do this alone. Whatever you're going through, we’ll work together to find what works, let go of what doesn’t, and help you move toward a more balanced, fulfilling life. Life gets busy—and heavy. Between school, family, and everything in between, it’s easy to feel stretched thin. That’s why I offer secure online therapy that fits your life. No commute, no time off work or school—just real support, on your terms. Life is complicated enough, therapy doesn't have to be.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or like your emotions are running the show, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. I work with adults who are navigating stress, difficult experiences, and emotions that can make everyday life feel heavier than it should. You might feel like you should be coping better, but something keeps getting in the way. Therapy is a space where we slow things down, make sense of patterns, and build practical skills that actually work in real life. My approach is collaborative, practical, and supportive. I draw from DBT, CBT, trauma-informed, and person-centered therapy, but I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all treatment. I focus on emotional regulation, self-compassion, and helping you feel more grounded and in control without asking you to be perfect. I approach my work with a balance of clinical expertise and lived understanding, always guided by what best supports my clients. Having been on both sides of the therapeutic space, I value creating an environment that feels safe, affirming, and human.
