I approach therapy through a cognitive, culturally sensitive, and mindfulness based lens. I utilize EMDR to help process trauma and other negative emotions stored in the body. I have completed EMDR basic training under Deany Laliotis, LICSW and am working toward my full EMDR certification under the consultation of Dr. Pegah Moghaddam, PsyD. I work with clients experiencing a myriad of clinical concerns including depression, anxiety, life transitions, and grief. Additionally, I have a passion for working with individuals overcoming complex trauma, including sexual abuse. Some of my other clinical experiences include working with substance use, HIV/AIDS, eating disorders, and suicidal ideation. Many of my clients are seeking out culturally sensitive care, where their identities are given the space to be seen and heard. During our time together we will work on building awareness of thought patterns, beliefs, and narratives that no longer serve you. I believe we all have the power to re-write unhelpful narratives, challenge negative thoughts, and transform our lives.
Does it ever feel like it's all too much? Whether you feel overwhelmed by heaviness in your relationships, family, from symptoms, or the current cultural moment, we've all experienced that overwhelming feeling. My clients often come seeking support around anxiety, depression, dissociative symptoms, substance use, trauma, and challenging family dynamics. While so much of the wounding we experience centers around our relationships, I believe healing happens through relationships also. Therapy is the opportunity to have someone walk alongside you, and I would be honored to be part of your journey. My diverse experience in the mental health field includes work in residential treatment centers for substance use disorders, recovery programs for adult survivors of commercial sexual exploitation, child advocacy centers, residential programs for adolescents, and international initiatives supporting survivors of sexual exploitation and abuse.
I provide individual therapy to young adults and adults experiencing a range of concerns including substance use, trauma, life transitions, and the unique stressors men face. I approach counseling from the perspective that you already have strengths and abilities that you can use to become your strongest self. Together, we find those strengths and put them to work towards your goals. As part of this I often use Cognitive Behavioral therapy, a technique that looks at the relationship between your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. It’s been shown to be incredibly effective at helping people make lasting changes in their lives. I am a Master Addiction Counselor and trained in E.M.D.R., a technique shown to be effective in treating trauma. It is also common that you may not have your finger on exactly what you hope to work on, yet you know you are seeking growth and change. If that’s the case, therapy can be a powerful tool to help you clarify what you want and how to best get it. If you are interested in learning more about how working together can help you reach your goals, contact me for a free consultation. Consultations are done by phone, take about 15 minutes and give us a chance to see if we would be a good fit to work together.

Hello, I’m so glad you’re here! I'm passionate about guiding individuals on their journey towards healing and self-discovery. As an art therapist, I believe in the transformative power of creativity to help people of any age express themselves and navigate life's complexities. You don’t need to consider yourself to be an artist to find benefit in creative healing. I will work with you to introduce artmaking that meets your unique needs. Alongside art therapy, I also offer traditional talk therapy, providing a holistic approach to mental and emotional well-being that can be best catered to your specific therapeutic needs. In my practice, I prioritize a person-centered, existential, and strengths-based approach, recognizing that each person is the expert of their own experiences. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, understanding that therapy knows no age limit. I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, feelings, and concerns at their own pace. As a LAPC and ATR-P I am currently under the supervision and direction of Nancy Morales, LPC, ATR-BC, CPCS and AICC Clinical Director, Christi Bartolomucci, PhD, LPC, CPCS. My areas of specialty include ADHD, ASD, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, chronic illness, grief, loss, behavioral issues, personal growth, relationships, social skills, life transitions and navigating life changes, such as impacts of divorce or career shifts. Additionally, I specialize in identity work, helping clients explore and embrace their authentic selves. As a queer-affirming therapist, I am committed to creating an inclusive environment where LGBTQIA+ individuals feel accepted and valued. I celebrate the diversity of human experience and aim to provide affirming care to all clients. Above all, my goal is to empower clients to lead fulfilling lives and embrace their true selves. With kindness, warmth, and genuine care, I am here to support you on your journey towards healing and growth.
As a partner in your growth, I acknowledge and accept that each person is unique, and has his/her own story. My range of expertise, including mindfulness practices, trauma recovery, and men’s health, are all tailored to meet your specific needs and reach your goals. Whether you’re experiencing stress from day-to-day, anxiety, trauma, anger, or relationship challenges, I offer a safe, judgment-free space to help you better navigate those obstacles by building upon the strengths you already have, developing new tools, and shifting focus to the present, in order to foster more effective and sustainable growth.
Starting therapy can feel a little intimidating — especially if you’re juggling school, work, relationships, or figuring out your next steps in life. My job is to make that process feel less overwhelming and more like a conversation where you can be your real self. I work with young adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, depression, self-esteem challenges, and big life transitions. I bring a mix of evidence-based tools (like CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy) and plenty of real-world perspective to help you make sense of what’s going on, build confidence, and create changes that actually stick. Sometimes that means breaking down big problems into smaller, doable steps; sometimes it’s about finding new ways to see yourself & your future. Whether you’re feeling stuck, burned out, or just ready to figure yourself out a little more, I’ll meet you where you are — no judgment, no one-size-fits-all advice. I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable, understood, and even able to laugh along the way.
I specialize in working with the gifted, although I am not limited to that. I use psycho dynamic psychotherapy.

When is the last time you intentionally gave yourself (or others) grace? No really… when was the last time? Life comes at us quick and if we’re not careful, we’ll find ourselves struggling with unforgiveness, anger, self-doubt and more; because we allowed the battles we face to win. The truth is, they don’t have to win. We can’t always control what happens to us, but we can learn to control how we respond. We can make the necessary changes to show up in this world in a way that brings us joy and fulfillment. Living Intentionally to Transform (LITT) was created to provide a safe space for YOU to process through life’s troubles. I specialize in working with adolescents, athletes, college students and adults. When serving clients, my approach is simple… come as you are! I strive to always provide a space for clients to just, be. No pressure to act, talk or show up in a certain way. You can expect to be met with respect and understanding at all times and for me to be fully, me. For those who are Christians, you will also find a place to grow in your faith. When seeking a provider, most people desire someone with similar beliefs and/or morals. It’s also important for many to be able to feel a sense of connectivity with the person they are trusting for services. Well, let me share a little about myself. I am a PROUD HBCU graduate from theeeeee Winston Salem State University. I am also a graduate of Georgia State University where I received my Masters in Social Work. Most would describe me as laid back, transparent and silly. My clients would likely say that I’m one that will “keep it real” but also share a good laugh with you when needed. I will challenge you but also support you. I love time with family and have a special place in my heart for athletes as I am a previous athlete and coach myself. Did I mention I love cheesecake? Alright, alright.. enough about me… are you ready? Potential presenting issues/specialties: - stress - athletics/ sports performance - social life - peer relationships - family relationships - intimate relationships / Couples - anxiety - childhood traumas - life adjustments or changes - balance - spirituality/religion - time management - self doubt This list is not exhaustive of the reasons one may seek therapy.
