My desire is to help people along the journey of healing and wholeness. I provide a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental space where we can explore what is weighing you down. In each counseling session, I work with my client to identify problems and ultimately find solutions that fit their needs. I graduated from Richmont Graduate University with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and a Certificate in Christian Sex Therapy. I have special interests in helping young adults navigate stresses that come with identity formation and navigating technology use and busy schedules. I have experience with a variety of issues and treatment approaches including but not limited to: personal growth, identity, self-esteem, expressive and creative therapies, EMDR, stress management, spiritual growth, depression, anxiety, issues of sexuality and sexual wholeness including sexual pain, trauma, and boundary issues.

Life is hard. For many of us, we often become overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, loneliness, uncertainty, fear, you name it. To make things worse, we experience trauma and discover that some of our deepest wounds come from our relationships. Of course, we want to protect ourselves from relationships, change, and the unknown. I get that. From working in schools, residential facility, and private practice setting, I've learned that there is also something inside each of us that yearns for healing, loving connection, and pure joy. So, what is getting in the way? Let's explore that together. I have a non-judgmental and compassionate approach when providing counseling for individuals. What that means is I relate to you as another imperfect human being who understands the impact of trauma, life transitions, stress, anxiety and several other factors that affect our day-to-day lives. I will offer you a space to freely explore your struggles and opportunities for healing. Let’s be real, we don’t know each other and it’s going to feel weird at first to share your story with me. I primarily work with individuals struggling with compulsive behavior, including sex/porn addiction, codependency, internet/social media addiction, and problem spending/debting. Addiction is meant to make you feel less. It provides temporary numbing for lifelong pain. You feel trapped, depressed, angry, anxious, guilty, and afraid when you can't stop. Recovering from compulsive behavior, though not easy, is possible and has been accomplished many times. But it does require a complete change in beliefs and attitude, along with how to deal with life and its problems. Getting out of your head and taking action is the next indicated step. Listen to your mind and body - it's time to stop treating yourself so badly. I can help you learn to help yourself. You can become your own best advocate. All are welcome in my office, including those from BIPOC and LGBTQIA communities.
I have been in practice for over 20 years and enjoy working with graduate and undergraduate students. Many of my student clients have been interested in reducing anxiety or depression symptoms, working through family, friendship or relationship issues, or simply having a safe place to talk with someone outside of their support circle about a current transition or struggle.

Ebonie is a licensed professional counselor with an extensive background in multiple mental health settings. Ebonie attended Georgia State University before obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2011 and a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2018, both from Argosy University. Ebonie began her counseling career at a mental health hospital conducting assessments, completing treatments plans, and facilitating groups. Ebonie has also worked as an intake therapist, as well as providing patients with care in inpatient/outpatient capacities. She also has experience working with government agencies and private practice. Ebonie worked as a mental health assessor in the emergency room of a local hospital assessing and provisionally diagnosing patients that presented in mental health crisis. After several years in private practice, in June of 2023, Ebonie decided to start her very own private practice, what is now known as A Genuine Experience.
