Many people arrive at care feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or discouraged after carrying the weight of their symptoms for far too long. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, burnout, emotional overwhelm, or treatment-resistant symptoms that haven't responded the way you hoped, you deserve more than a rushed appointment and a prescription. You deserve to feel heard and supported, by a clinician who takes the time to listen. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I specialize in medication management and psychiatric diagnosis for adults, and I work with a wide range of individuals who may appear high-functioning on the outside while quietly struggling within. My goal is to create a space that feels collaborative, personalized, and compassionate, one where we work together to understand what's truly contributing to your symptoms and find a treatment approach that fits your life and your goals. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but meaningful improvement is possible. When you feel ready, I would be honored to be part of your journey. Specialties include adult psychiatric evaluation and medication management, anxiety disorders, depression and treatment-resistant depression, ADHD and executive dysfunction, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and burnout. Every person who walks through my door is treated as exactly that: a person, not a diagnosis or a checklist. Care should feel like a partnership, and from your first visit, you can expect to be genuinely included in the decisions about your treatment. I offer comprehensive psychiatric assessments, personalized medication management, diagnostic clarification, and ongoing monitoring to ensure your treatment continues to serve you well over time. For patients who have struggled with difficult medication transitions or treatment failures, I provide supportive guidance through those moments as well. Specialties also include interventional psychiatry, including TMS and IV ketamine therapies. If you are exploring or currently undergoing any of these treatments, you will have a knowledgeable partner alongside you every step of the way. Whatever brings you in, the goal remains the same: to improve your overall functioning and quality of life in a way that feels sustainable and right for you. Growing up in rural West Virginia, I saw firsthand how limited access to mental health resources can be, and how much that gap costs people who deserve support. This early awareness stayed with me. It was during my time working at the Department of Veterans Affairs that I found my direction in psychiatric care, a field where the stakes are high and the need for compassionate, skilled support is undeniable. Personal experience has also shaped the way I show up for my patients. Having watched loved ones navigate mental health challenges, I understand how hard it can be to ask for help and how much it means to find someone who truly listens. That understanding is at the heart of everything I do. When I'm not in the office, you'll find me thrifting, junk journaling, getting lost in a good book, and enjoying creative ventures through Mic & Madds. I'm also a devoted mom to two boys and a full house of animals: three dogs, one cat, two jumping spiders, and two hermit crabs.

Feeling like a shadow of your former self. Just going through the motions. All this pretending, performing—it’s exhausting. You’ve become a master at molding yourself to fit others’ expectations of you. And just to keep the peace. And social media is messing with your mental health. Every scroll through Instagram feels like being bombarded by a barrage of perfect lives. You can’t help but compare, feeling like you’re coming up short. And so you dive deeper into the people-pleasing game, losing yourself in the process, just craving some validation. How do you even begin to claw your way out of this hot mess express? Fast forward, you’ve ditched the stuff holding you back from happiness. You even love your messy, imperfect parts. Now, you’re fully embracing the real, confident you. Ditching anything that chips away at your self-worth. Nodding along? I’ve got you covered. Combining your drive for change with EMDR therapy is sure to bring incredible results. Hello! I’m a licensed psychologist who seeks to not just help manage symptoms, but to promote wellness. I am experienced in treating a range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, attachment concerns, caretaker stress, chronic pain, binge eating, identity development, career exploration, and life transitions. Having worked with adult clients from a variety of backgrounds, I aim to incorporate a culturally sensitive lens throughout my practice. In sessions, my approach implements behavioral interventions alongside empowerment, exploration of self, and establishing meaning in life. My style is integrative and flexible. I primarily work from a psychodynamic and existential lens to connect past traumas to current patterns, address underlying needs, and foster hope. Through adding in ACT and DBT behavioral interventions, we can better manage symptoms and move towards goals. This multifaceted approach allows client-driven movement between self-exploration, emotional processing, and challenge.

I work with the body and the nervous system to integrate difficult experiences and regulate ourselves from the bottom up. I love to work with the inner critic (aka self-criticism), the inner child (aka reactivity), and trauma (big and small). I am passionate about helping people get to know themselves, not just find a quick fix for symptoms.

My expertise is working with survivors of child abuse, sexual violence and those struggling in their interpersonal life. Sometimes in our life our values, goals and boundaries change. It can be difficult to navigate and negotiate those changes. I'm here to help. I love challenging my clients and, even more, I love when they challenge me. I am multi-lingual licensed psychotherapist in private practice specializing in trauma and the emotional and somatic impact of violence on the individual and communities - whether it’s racially or gender-charged violence or the destruction of our planet - grief, anxiety, trauma, shame, feelings of despair and anger are all part of it. As faculty of the International Center for Mental Health & Human Rights, I have facilitated contemplative based trauma and resiliency trainings locally and internationally to communities on the frontlines. In my work with you, I pay attention to how constructs such as power, race, gender, socio-economics, and sociopolitical environments impact the individual, family, and community identity, well-being, and health. Traumatic experiences happen within a social context and are shaped by social and climate-related conditions. Tailoring my approach according to your concerns, challenges, and unique socio-cultural background feels essential in our work together. I have been working with adults and adolescents in the mental health and education field since 2005. I graduated from the California Institute for Integral Studies with a Master’s Degree in Integral Counseling Psychology and hold a Social Work degree from Hochschule Niederrhein in Germany. I offer individual and group psychotherapy in my office in Boulder, CO. As a psychotherapist, I take an integrative approach that includes psychodynamic psychotherapy, EMDR, neuroscience, climate-awareness, social justice, and contemplative-based trauma and resiliency training. My work predominantly focuses on survivors of traumatic experiences as well as challenges related to shame, self-esteem, racial and multicultural identities, and climate distress. As a climate-aware psychotherapist, certified in climate psychology and member of the North America Climate Psychology Alliance, I am passionate about understanding the immediate mental health impacts of climate related disasters and long term stressors of living with the reality of climate change over time. I believe that learning emotional resiliency skills with ways of motivating effective action and creating intentional moments of reconnection with the earth and all her inhabitants, feel essential to the wellbeing of our world. I speak English, Spanish and German fluently.

Hello! I’m Emily, A Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado. My goal is to work to help others build healthy relationships in their personal and professional lives. Think of me as your self awareness gurue, family role interpreter and boundary builder. I work with Individuals as well as couples using the Gottman method. My goal is to help you discover yourself in new ways and bring awareness to themes in your life and how they relate to your family of origin. I have spent the last 10 years working on my craft to care for others and help break unhealthy cycles. I draw from CBT and TF-CBT strategies, DBT strategies, family systems, Gottman and relational psychodynamics to help others with anxiety, depression, processing loss and trauma, as well as, family conflict and relationship issues. I use DBT and client centered therapy techniques to help pay attention to your emotional experience, identify the role you play or played in your family that is still being played out in other relationships today. I help you find self acceptance in your own personality and build awareness of how that is impacted by others. Are you the middle man, the scapegoat, a leader, the avoider or the drama queen? No matter your role, you are enough! Let’s dive into how your role in your family unit contributes to unhealthy cycles that have happened in the past or happening now. I use reenactments in sessions, CBT and family systems strategies to bring awareness to how your role in their family may be contributing to unhealthy cycles. What is your “no” and what is your “yes”. Sometimes we don’t know what that is, but I’m here to help you figure it out. Together we can identify the boundaries that need to be created for a more healthy lifestyle and grieve the boundaries that did not exist in the past and learn how to have “repair moments”. I’m here to build up your self care and create coping skills that serve well in establishing healthy relationships.
