Therapists for college students near 80204
Hi there! We are an outpatient practice offering in-person and virtual appointments. We specialize in working with those navigating the tricky terrain of growing up—dealing with friendship shifts, school pressure, big emotions, and the journey of self-discovery. Many of the clients who find us describe themselves as high-performing yet often struggling with things such as: suspected or diagnosed ADHD, chronic anxiety, burnout, and who are seeking balance amidst life's demands. Their work often centers on identity exploration, navigating interpersonal relationships, building self-esteem, developing a more compassionate relationship with their bodies and food, and adapting to life transitions. Together, we explore how anxiety shows up, how boundaries can feel empowering, and what it looks like to build relationships (with yourself and others) that feel safe, reciprocal, and genuine. Wherever you are in your life journey, we are here to come along side you and support you in the next steps. We truly believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship. We encourage you to reach out for a consultation call to determine how we can best support you and answer any questions you might have about the therapy process.
Anxiety, stress, and sadness are a normal part of life. At times these feelings can take over and inhabit multiple area's of life in a profoundly negative way. As a therapist, I offer an empathetic, non-judgmental, supportive, and encouraging space for emerging and young adults to explore area's of life that feel off. I work with my clients to understand the unique experiences brought to counseling. Treating someone as a person, not a diagnosis that needs to be fixed is essential in healing.

Unhelpful patterns and disconnection in relationships can keep partners unseen, frustrated, exhausted, and alone. It might be frequent fights, or conflict that escalates, or a desire for a deeper connection. I help couples with presentations ranging from premarital checkups to moving past affairs and high conflict. You can get to a clearer level of understanding and break out of your typical pattern. In nourishing a relationship, we build a safe haven of comfort and joy which gives the strength to face life challenges. This powerful force, called love, is the most important thing in this life. As a scientist-practitioner (24 research publications), I am devoted to effective, scientifically proven methods that forever change lives and relationships. I have advanced training in the most effective couples therapy methods (Emotion-Focused and Gottman Method). I can’t tell you how much I love seeing real change for the couples that I work with! I will guide you in having conversations that will move you and your partner toward a more secure relationship with greater joy. You don’t have to live another day with a sense of wanting more and wondering how to move toward the relationship you are yearning for. I hope you do reach out here or at www.TashaSeiterTherapy.com. As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and Texas and a Licensed Addiction Counselor in Colorado I have made the commitment to help others as they face adversity so as to develop a loving and compassionate relationship with themselves. I bring a wealth of experience and specialized training in addictions and mental health to my practice and there is one common theme I have noticed throughout my career, which is our self-talk. We are our own worst enemies, and this wreaks havoc on our self-esteem. My therapeutic approach is person centered, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I tailor my counseling to each individual client and will use several interventions in practice. I am well versed in CBT, DBT, and MI. I also have a background utilizing Positive Psychology, SFBT, and Crisis Intervention. I invite you to a different therapeutic experience where I'll meet you where you are at. By providing a safe and supportive environment, my goal is to provide a holistic and person-centered therapeutic experience where you become empowered to build resilience, achieve personal growth, and become better equipped to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
My therapeutic experience started over 20 years ago providing individual, group and family counseling. My true passion lies with helping people navigate age appropriate struggles, life stressors, challenges with mental health, difficulties in trauma related symptoms, addiction and/or substance abuse challenges, and relationship issues. Life often presents us with challenges that can make it difficult to find a way back to overall wellness.
My office is just a short walk from CU-Boulder's campus. I work with all kinds of clients in all kinds of configurations. I meet with individuals, couples, and families, and I like to work with clients across time. I am eager to have conversations with you as you sort through complicated feelings, try out new ways of being, or just get to be vulnerable for a bit. I will help you gain a more profound understanding of your experience, a deeper connection with self and others, and a recognition of your values and beliefs, so that you can ask for and have the rich life and meaningful relationships you want and deserve.
A lot of us struggle to prioritize our wellness while balancing daily tasks, stressors, and especially during major life transitions such as college, career changes, relationship changes, mid-life crisis, retirement, and so on. Maybe you’re juggling college classes, being away from home and learning about this “adulting” thing. Or maybe you’re wondering how you became the adult & who let you be in charge?! If you’ve lost a sense of balance, if you live your life like everything is urgent, you are in the right place. If you’re not sure what you want or who you want to be but you feel a pressure to do it well (perhaps even perfectly!), I’m so glad you found me and I hope you’ll reach out!
My practice focuses on helping clients with relationship issues, infidelity, and financial therapy. If you are struggling to find your place on campus and feel like an outsider and an imposter, I've been there, and I can help you build stronger connections with those around you and with your own self! My speciality area is helping people better understand their relationship to money and class and understand how their history and feelings around money impact their everyday life on campus and their relationships. If this sounds like you, set up a consultation through my website below. In addition to standard psychotherapy sessions, I offer long therapy sessions called intensives if you have trouble making time for regularly scheduled therapy.

You're anxious, depressed, lost, or just feel something is off. I work with folks ready to understand what's actually going on an The people I work with are often keeping it together on the outside. But something won't resolve: anxiety that shows up in everything, depression that's more than just sadness, or being at a point in life where what used to work doesn't anymore. Some come in knowing exactly what they want to address. Others just know something needs to change. Attention and focus, anger, disconnected relationships, persistent worries, tough life transitions, the weight of the past - these are common themes. I've spent 16 years in clinical practice working with individuals through anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, big life changes, and the emotional patterns that run alongside addiction and recovery. My approach is integrative. I draw primarily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Internal Family Systems within a trauma-informed frame, and I work to match the method to the person rather than the other way around. We work to understand what's actually driving your experience, build real insight, and develop strategies that hold outside the session. I'm co-founder of Rule 62 Therapy, a small group practice. Working within a team means clients have access to different approaches, specialties, and schedules, which makes finding a genuinely good fit more likely. Reach out to get started.
Healing is deeply personal, and having the right support can make all the difference. As a licensed therapist with three years of experience, I’m dedicated to helping people across the lifespan navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, relationship challenges, and the emotional weight that can accumulate over time. Whether you're working through a painful experience, building more confidence in yourself, or simply looking for steadier ground, you'll find a space here that is empathetic, honest, and completely free of judgment. Therapy works best when it feels like a genuine human connection grounded in compassion and respect, and that's exactly what you can expect with me. My goal is to be a steady, supportive presence you feel genuinely comfortable with as you work toward healing, confidence, and personal growth that feel meaningful and lasting. Together, we'll create a supportive, down-to-earth space where you feel heard, understood, and never judged. My approach is warm, collaborative, and flexible, ensuring your healing environment is always tailored to your unique needs, goals, and lived experience. Drawing on evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and EMDR, we'll build healthy coping skills, process difficult experiences, and support your overall emotional well-being to create positive change. Trauma-informed care is central to how I work, and empowering you throughout your healing journey is something I am genuinely passionate about. You set the direction; I'll help you find the way forward. My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by my own experience in therapy and the profound impact of having people truly in my corner during some of the most difficult seasons of my life. Those relationships stayed with me, and they continue to shape how I show up for every person I work with. This foundation deepened my commitment to care that is compassionate, trauma-informed, and centered on each person’s experience. In every session, I bring empathy, honesty, and genuine respect for the process, with the intention of creating a space where you feel safe enough to be real, supported as you are, and encouraged in your own healing. Outside of the therapy room, I find restoration in nature, whether that's going for walks, hiking, biking, or simply being outdoors to unplug and reset. Traveling and exploring new places brings me a lot of joy, as does unhurried time with family and friends. When I'm winding down at the end of the day, you'll likely find me working on a puzzle while listening to a podcast, a simple combination that helps me slow down and recharge.

Change is hard! Staying stuck is harder. Psychotherapy can help you get back to feeling good about yourself, your relationships, or gain clarity about your life goals. We all struggle sometimes with life’s challenges, and we learn to handle them in many ways. If we’re lucky, we find helpful coping strategies, but sometimes what we’ve learned to do to manage stress stops working for us. Usually, that is the time when people decide to try therapy: when they are unable to find their way out of rigid patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving, knowing that there is something better out there but not knowing how to find it! I am a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst in the state of Colorado, and I am also licensed in Idaho. I completed my pre-doctoral internship and my post-doctoral fellowship at the Wardenburg Health Center at the University of Colorado. Through that time I came to love working with college students. College is a time of major transitions where you get to practice independence while still being somewhat dependent. This "in-between" place can be exciting and challenging. Helping students as they strive to separate from their families of origin and come into their own is one of my favorite parts about being a therapist.

I enjoy working with young adults by supporting them find meaning and agency in their lives and understand the multitude of stressors we are collectively facing. I have a wide range of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I currently offer individual, family, and group sessions.
