Hi there! The population I typically see are individuals who would like to overcome disturbing events in their life that may be causing them depression, anxiety or low self-esteem to name a few. To treat this, I use a technique called EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR uses bilateral stimulation via tapping chest/arms/knees or eye movements while processing past disturbing events. I make sure to follow your pace and that you feel safe enough to take this step. If you do not wish to do EMDR, I can offer you a safe space to talk about any issues you may have. I have been treating clients since 2014. My private practice is established in Oxnard, CA and I serve clients through tele-health and in-office. Safety allows for exploration. Come on, let's explore together. I offer a free 15 min. phone consultation to see if I would be a good fit for you. Hablo EspaƱol.
Let's support you in facing internal struggles stemming from everyday life, anxiety, stress, trauma, and relationships! Let's help you learn a variety of coping and parenting skills to support you in feeling confident as an individual or as a parent while developing healthy communication within your relationships. In therapy, we will spend time exploring your history, concerns, strengths, and areas of growth. We will then work together to develop an individualized way to support you in the growth that you want to see in yourself. You will learn a variety of new tools and skills to manage anxiety or stress, decrease self-criticism, improve self-esteem, increase self-confidence, set healthy boundaries, learn new ways to communicate, or learn new parenting skills. Emphasis will then be placed on learning how to implement these into your everyday life.

I work best with students who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in their own head. Many of the students I support struggle with overthinking, self-doubt, stress, past experiences that still affect them, or feeling pressure to hold everything together. Theyāre often high-functioning on the outside but feel exhausted or disconnected inside. I offer a calm, supportive space to help students feel more grounded, understand what theyāre going through, and build skills to feel better over time.
College can feel overwhelming when stress, anxiety, burnout, relationship issues, or life changes start piling up. You may look like youāre managing on the outside while feeling stuck, exhausted, or alone on the inside. I offer a warm, supportive space to help you better understand whatās going on, build healthy coping skills, and move forward with more clarity and confidence.
College and young adulthood can be an exciting but stressful time. People may see you as focused and driven, but inside you feel more scattered and anxious than they realize. Perfectionism and an internal critic run your schedule. School, work, relationships, finding time for yourselfāyou feel like it's all too much, but you also worry you're not doing enough. You often say "Yes" when you want to say, "No, I can't handle one more thing!" Trying to manage ADHD, trauma, or just your day-to-day mood on top of everything feels extra exhausting. You wish you could feel balanced, confident, more at ease... maybe even kinder to yourself. I can help you navigate the "typical" aspects of young adulthood that are actually more challenging than they look. We'll focus on what's most important to you, whether that's exploring internal dynamics or learning new skills to cope with the daily tough stuff. My therapy style is interactive, collaborative, and inclusiveāboth tears and laughter are always welcome. I know starting therapy can feel tough, but finding a great therapist shouldn't be. To that end, I'm happy to offer you a free consultation to answer your questions, connect a bit, and see if I'm a good fit for your therapy needs. Please reach out to schedule a call!

Hello! I'm Jess, and I'm a psychotherapist. I love supporting people in their journeys of self-discovery. Throughout my life, hardships led me to seek healing in various forms. The insights and skills I gained in my own healing journey enable me to support others. My expertise stem from challenges I've worked through or experiences helping other people. I help people who long for a deeper connection to themselves or others but feel stuck between being true to themselves and being who they "should" be. Sometimes, this means conforming to the norm or hiding a part of yourself. Therapy can be a space to reflect on how things got this way and how to create the life you want. I know from my own path to wholeness, that it can feel overwhelming, isolating, or frustrating. I believe that we all have an inner compass and an innate ability to heal and grow. Sometimes we lose our way, and it's hard to move forward. I can walk along this path with you, and we can explore together what is most important to you and the direction you want to go. If you're feeling like something has to change but don't know where to start, please schedule a free consultation, and we can talk about how I might be helpful to you. I work especially well with students who are: - Grappling with growing up in a different country or culture than their parents - Questioning their gender identity or sexual orientation - Struggling with peer pressure and trying new things - Figuring out who they are and what their values, beliefs, and interests are - Managing complicated relationships or friendships - Highly sensitive people
I help young women facing difficult life situations find healing, peace, and contentment in their lives. I am a psychiatrist and psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience. During our initial sessions, we will delve deeply into the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most of my patients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter. If you have been suffering on your own, I want you to know that there is hope for relief, and that you arenāt alone. I specialize in psychotherapy, with and without integrated use of medication treatment. In addition to a medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine and a residency in psychiatry, I pursued specialized psychotherapy training. I am trained in and use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR, and mindfulness based therapy. It can be a daunting task to find a therapist and enter into the unknown. I'm glad you've taken the first steps towards meaningful change. My website can address any questions you might have, and I offer convenient secure video appointments, online scheduling, and a free screening consultation: www.peacetreementalhealth.com
